About Us

Our company

Mission City Roofing and Exterior, LLC. was founded in 2016. After spending 11 years as an Independent Insurance Adjuster and traveling away from family more than half the time, I decided to bring my property insurance knowledge and construction skills together and provide something I saw was lacking in the roofing industry; integrity and craftsmanship. I have been in and around the construction industry for 30+ years. This experience coupled with my time as an adjuster has provided me with significant expertise in roofing methods and general construction techniques.

I am an expert in evaluating storm related damage to the roof and exterior of your home, and in understanding the insurance coverage and claim process.

I was drawn to become an insurance adjuster. I had a desire to do something that combined my knowledge of construction and my passion for helping people. Being an adjuster enabled me to evaluate damage properly and provide policyholders with a thoroughly complete damage assessment the first time. This enabled them to expedite the rebuilding process after floods, tornados, hail storms and hurricanes.

Becaused of this catastrophe adjuster background, I have evaluated thousands of roofs to determine storm related damage. I have seen the damage caused by poorly installed roofing systems, and know how a properly installed roof can hold up to severe weather. I have always been a craftsman at heart and appreciate good workmanship. I am glad to bring my desire to help people together with my love of the building trades to create Mission City Roofing & Exterior, LLC.

Our shingle and metal roofing teams have decades of experience. They are professional, friendly and will care for your property. We want to be that contractor you tell your friends and family about, because we hope to treat you like friends and family. It is our solid commitment to our customers and the industry that will allow us to keep doing what we love and be one of the most trusted in the business. It is important for you to know our roofers are experienced and held to the highest work standard. Our reputation is built on doing superior work.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you with your roofing and exterior projects.

The Roofing Process

01.

  • Insurance Claim

The first thing that you should always do if you suspect roof damage is to call your insurance company, file a claim, and schedule an adjustor to come out for an inspection.

02.

  • Assessment by Mission City Roofing

If you would like, we could come out before the adjustor to give you an assessment of the damage and give you honest information about your roof’s condition before the adjustor gives you his opinion.

If you would like us to meet the adjustor during his inspection, we can schedule that as well.

03.

  • Roof Approval and Scope

This is where we would like to take the mess and stress off your hands.  We will work and communicate with the insurance company on your behalf.  Our top goals during this step include:

    • Ensuring the insurance company pays for the entire roof system the roofing manufacturer requires.

    • Assessing additional damage (siding, paint, gutters, and windows) and making sure nothing is left off the claim statement.

    • Finalizing the price and scope of damage with the insurance company.

Just sit back and let us take care of all of this for you.

04.

  • Material Selections

We provide samples of shingle types and colors.

If insurance will cover a new roof replacement, now is the time to upgrade to metal.

Why metal roofs are better than shingles:

    • Longer lifespan
    • Higher home value
    • Energy efficient / Environmentally friendly
    • Fire rated
    • Peace of Mind

05.

  • Scheduling The Project

The timing of the installation depends on the time of year and storm activity in the area.  We generally can schedule within 30 days from the signing of a contract and approval from the insurance company.

A roof that is average size of about 30 squares or 3000 square feet will usually take one day to complete.  A metal roof that size takes about a week.

For shingled roofs, we will order the material and try to have it stacked on the roof and out of the way.  That way, it is not taking up space on the driveway.

06.

  • Project Preparation

The day before the scheduled installation we will call you with a few reminders:

    • Keep the driveway clear and move breakable items away from the perimeter of the house.
    • Keep pets inside or at a friends house during the installation.  It can get pretty loud and this makes most pets nervous.

There are a few things we do to make the process as smooth and clean as possible:

    • We will help you move any large items around the perimeter of the house that may break.
    • To protect your lawn and landscaping, we will cover shrubs, plants, and grass with large tarps to catch nails or debris that may fall.

07.

  • Project Completion

When the project is complete we do everything in our power to leave your house better than we found it:

    • We will run large magnets across your lawn to pick up nails or debris that wasn’t caught by our tarps.
    • All trash and debris is picked up and hauled off the premises.
    • We will provide you with a copy of the final invoice and submit the invoice to the insurance company on your behalf so you don’t have to worry about it.
